The Department of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science is one of the Departments in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Fisheries Technology. This is a very new department, which is in its initial stage of establishment and is expected to enroll its first intake of students in the academic year 2019/20. The department will offer two-degree programmes namely: Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine Degree and Bachelor of Animal science and Technology. In addition to offering academic degrees, the department will have a state of the art Veterinary diagnostic laboratory and teaching hospital, which will provide veterinary services to the community and Tanzania at large
